We've been reading about Teledildonics since the cyberculture began writing about it years ago. Well, here is an new product, simply named The Toy is a variation on that called bluedildonics. It's been covered by Wired, so you have no excuse to not know what it is. It's a high tech, vibrating bullet vibrator that works via a cell phone with Bluetooth that can be used without anyone knowing.

Music City is a very cool new project coming to San Francisco. It's a musical hub on Bush Street opening just blocks from the American Music Hall sure to bring some amazing music to the the Union Square area. This region which used to host some of the amazing music in San Francisco is in need of a location to nurture the arts of our city.

Yesterday it passed through the San Francisco Board of Supervisors with flying colors. It's going to house the new San Francisco Rock Hall of Fame, which will highlight many of the great bands from our area. SFist blogged about it's early stages. Wikipedia also offers it's own description of the Music City project.

SF Real Estate Blogger Matt Lanning also offers his opinions on the project.

He says: "This is something that is long-overdue in San Francisco, a city with a rich history of music from jazz to rock and beyond."

Ghirardelli Square kicks off the holiday season with its 39th Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony. The 50-foot Christmas tree will be lit with sparkling lights and adorned with red ribbons, ornaments, decorations and oversized Ghirardelli Chocolate bars. The Square's festivities begin at noon with a musical theatre performance, puppet shows and stilt walkers until the tree lighting ceremony.

Unauthorized Rolling Stones

The hands down coolest band in the Union Square area is the Unauthorized Rolling Stones!, a San Francisco institution, fronted by Singer Rudy Colombini, the visionary behind Music City SF club , and the San Francisco Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame. I caught them playing at the San Francisco 49ers rally at Justin Herman Plaza last month and they rocked the park. They play the Great American Music Hall in Nob Hill pretty regularly, as well as the PacBell Park (ie. SF Giants Stadium) and a host of SF clubs regularly. A good time will be had by all.

Examiner Reports on Union Square's X-Mas Tree

The Examiner has a picture of Macy's Christmass tree going up in San Francisco, and describes the "arduous process of bringing Christmas to San Francisco". The Menorah should be up soon to join it, and then the only things needed to bring the holidays to San Francisco are drinks and shopping.

About.com did a cool little write up of two hotels on the border of Union Square.

Read "small, affordable hotels a little off the beaten track." which describes the Nob Hill Hotel. You can also read that review at the Nob Hill site. Other gems in the area include the Fitzgerald Hotel in Union Square, and Oreilly's, an awsome original Irish pub. Also check out the Hidden Vine Wine Bar, a truely spectacular place. Macy's X-Mas Tree Up in the Square

It's official - Xmass time is here. Macy's set up it's annual tree in the center of Union Square. I got a look Friday when Cal's team had a pep rally in the city. A good 300 people showed up to sing, listen to the band, and watch the cheerleaders. The tree is a pretty good site, and is sure to brighten up the area as shopping season approaches.
